Dr. Deanna M. Dobbins, an advocate for Empowering Educational Excellence. My personal goal is to strengthen, encourage, and instill a love of education in educators, igniting their passion to mold future generations. With over two decades of experience in various educational roles, including my recent tenure as Superintendent of Bloomingdale Public Schools, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in fostering impactful learning environments.

During my doctoral studies, I focused on leadership effectiveness and educational equity, culminating in a dissertation examining the relationship between teacher grit and self-efficacy. This research deepened my understanding of the factors influencing teacher performance and student success. I honed my skills in data analysis, research methodologies, and strategic planning, contributing to my ability to drive positive change in educational settings.

My Journey
My educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University, followed by a Master’s in Educational Administration and a Doctorate in Education. Over two decades, I have dedicated myself to fostering educational excellence as a teacher, principal, and superintendent in Oklahoma, Texas, and Michigan.
Throughout my career, I have successfully managed budgets exceeding $20 million and secured millions in competitive grants, driving initiatives that prioritize student success and community engagement. As Superintendent of Bloomingdale Public Schools, I led a district of 1,100 students and 220 staff members, developing strategic plans that aligned with state standards and implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to enhance student engagement. My efforts resulted in a $17 million bond passing to further support district initiatives.
Previously, as Principal of Glenpool Elementary, I managed a school of 1,500 students and 150 staff, securing over $400,000 in grants and mentoring future leaders. Also, in my role as an Adjunct Professor at Oklahoma State University allowed me to share my passion for educational leadership with aspiring educators.
I am committed to equity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, and I aim to empower educators to ignite a love for learning in their students. My expertise spans strategic planning, curriculum development, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement, all focused on creating inclusive and effective learning environments.
